Collection Facility
The facility receives the items below from households only at no charge. Sharps (hypodermic needles and blood-testing lancets) are biomedical wastes and must be disposed of at the Flagler County Health Department. You can contact the Health Department at 386-437-7350.
Acceptable Items
- Aerosol containers
- All automotive waste fluids and filters
- All boating and marine supplies, including lubricants, cleaners, oil and fuel filters, and emergency flares
- All devices containing mercury, such as HID bulbs, thermostats, thermometers, and switches
- All rechargeable batteries (Ni-MH, Li-Ion, button batteries, Ni-Cad, and both sealed and unsealed lead acid batteries)
Other collectible items include:
- Acid and alkali material
- Adhesives, roofing tar, and petroleum-based caulking
- All types of fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and rodenticides
- Epoxies and their catalyst components
- Oil-based and latex paints and stains
- Pool maintenance chemicals
- Solvents, thinners, strippers, and cleaners
