2022 Strategic Planning Resident Survey

Strategic Planning

The City of Flagler Beach seeks resident feedback to best plan for the City's focus issues for our strategic plan. A strategic plan is a guidance document for the City for the next 5 to 20 years.

If you are a Flagler Beach resident, we welcome you to complete our 2022 Strategic Planning Resident Survey in the Spring of 2022! The survey is a great way for the City Commission to learn from you about what you value about Flagler Beach and what you would like to see improved over time. The City Commission will use the survey responses during the City Commission's Strategic Planning Retreat on Tuesday, April 26th, 2022. The survey results will also be considered during the City's 2022/2023 budget planning process.

Press Release:

Flagler Beach Launches New Digital Community

Engagement Site for Resident Input

Flagler Beach, Florida — The City of Flagler Beach is launching a new digital community engagement site to inform and engage residents about upcoming plans and initiatives, and shape them together with the community through collaborative conversations. Through Zencity Engage, Flagler Beach will create engagement sites for local projects, upload supporting information, and invite residents to give input using interactive participatory tools. The site will enable the City to more easily incorporate more resident voices in the planning and execution of priority initiatives to improve local services and the overall quality of life.

The first project to be featured on this site is Flagler Beach’s 2022 Strategic Planning Resident Survey. The survey results will be used during the City Commission’s strategic planning retreat on April 26th, 2022. The results will also inform the City’s budget planning process. Flagler Beach residents can participate in the survey here: https://cityofflaglerbeach.civilspace.io/en/projects/city-of-flagler-beach-strategic-planning

“We are always striving to get input from residents and this community engagement site will be a great step toward directly collaborating with residents who’ll bring their needs and concerns to the fore and help us make the best decisions for the future of our city,” said City Manager William Whitson. “I applaud forward-thinking leaders like City Manager William Whitson who understand that effective local government must make it easier for residents to participate and leverage data on their needs and priorities. Zencity is proud to provide a platform for cities like Flagler Beach to reach more voices in the community and turn that input into action,” said Eyal Feder-Levy, CEO of Zencity.

The launch of the new digital community engagement site is in partnership with Zencity, the community input platform used by local governments to hear from more residents and get meaningful and actionable insights. Zencity works with hundreds of municipalities across the U.S. including Chicago, Phoenix, Seattle, and San Diego on issues ranging from public safety to American Rescue Plan Act implementation. The new community engagement site will inform and gather feedback from residents in up to 27 languages and make it easier for residents to participate—on their own time, from wherever is convenient.Flagler Beach Launches New Digital Community
